Shopping center Rivermall

For this project, the challenge was to develop a ceiling with a bespoke design that evoked the association of waves on the ceiling and had not previously been seen in other shopping malls.

Our specialists suggested using Armstrong Optima Baffles 1200x400 and 1800x400 rectangular screen ceilings as blanks, which have high acoustic performance.
Then company Columbus customised them with curvilinear cutting, sanding and painting. The lamellas were then fitted with 3D dimensional blades, creating a wavy effect and providing the airflow required for crowded areas. This solution opened up new possibilities in the application of acoustic panels, helped to effectively conceal the engineering systems and blended seamlessly into the contemporary forms of the building with the consonant name 'Rivermall'.
